Fret board Wizard - Proprietary of guitarelements.com - Copyright 2003 -2008. Beginners, do you really want to learn & memorise notes on the entire fret board
from
the Open position through 12th fret and up to 24th fret of all 6 strings? |
This page is for those who have an interest to learn guitarelements features and it's functions. |
It is a real big joke and makes me laugh, people claim they can teach guitar lesson in 30 days or less. What kind of teachers are they? Telling you all kinds of crap like this. Are these people out of their mind? Or do they have a mind at all? Playing and Teaching guitar is completely different animal. A good guitar player does not mean a good guitar teacher. Teacher need to be qualify for what he or she teachs. Is he or she has any certification, training, credential in teaching? How long has he or she has been playing and teaching? Is there any references available to verify? Is their any Free trails? is this Online or Offline? how long is each private lessons last? My wife and I have been teaching guitar for more than 10 years, we both graduated class 1984 from MI/GIT in Hollywood California currently MI.edu |
| Well, that is why I created & lauched guitarelements.com so the people can have something they are really looking for as far as guitar lessons and training are concerned. guitarelements will be so happy if you choose to learn to read Basic Music Notation instead of tabs "tablature". |
Do you have what it takes to be a cool guitar player?
Do you have the guts? committment? determination? focus? patience? time? resources?
Remember, if it's easy then everyone is doing it - sometimes it takes a life time to archieve perfection.
This is how I wish player follow so they can get the best out of thier effort and to reach thier goal "How to be a good guitar player". It does making sense to me as I create this product, I know how to advise you to learn to use it. 1. Study the lesson in ebook format, this is the most important thing to do by the mean of "study". I called it "Brain storm". 3. Do this for all lessons "chords, scales, arpeggio's, modes, exercise". 4. Someday I got tire of practice, I set the tempo up really fast almost max. I then play for example the cage system of the c major scales, it is so cool to see and hear the scale play this fast and I use this to ear training, i train my ears to hear the scales even I can not play it that fast without an error, it just inspire me to keep on practice. 5. Spend time with the Fret board Wizard if you are beginner player and do not know the notes on the fret board, it is much easier later when you sight reading and know the notes on the fret board, This procedure is repeated over and over until you are satified with the result. I have been drilling for example on the Major Arpeggio's of the 12 keys in five patterns for the last 10 years and am still drilling and practicing them almost everyday. I only got better, cleaner, faster and I am able to put more touch and feeeling to my drill to achieve perfection and satisfaction for my effort. I subcribe for this service to communicate and tracking players progress - Player's private studio website

I prefer using the standard fret board display over the upside down display.
Let's start.

Picture above shown relationship between the notes on the staff & the notes on the fretboard

Picture above shown:
The 5 notes written on the lines of the staff | E - G - B - D - F |
Try to remember this: Every Good Boy Do Fine
The 4 notes written on the Spaces of the staff | F - A - C - E | Just remember FACE

Picture above shown the Six Open notes.

Picture above shown notes with "Ledger lines" - Used to accomodate lower & higher notes than the basic notes shown on the staff (lines & spaces).

The above picture displayed all the Main notes ( No Accidental Notes such as Sharp or Flat are displayed).

The above picture displayed Accidental Notes. All Sharp notes are displayed.

The above picture displayed Accidental Notes. All Flat notes are displayed.
Notice the 2 pictures above, the top picture displayed notes using SHARP. The bottom picture displayed notes using FLATS.
We will be discussed in depth about when to use for example D# instaed of Eb in Basic Music Theory chapter.
As you can see, regardless of what string/strings or fret/frets you are on, from one fret to the next fret ( up or down | higher or lower ) of any given string.
The value of the note is half step away ( Sharp or Flat ).
For example: The Gb on 6th string/2nd fret of the bootom pictures - Also know as F# shown on the top picture.

Picture above shown player selected the correct answer.

The reason guitarelements designed to display 2 freet boards and to give user an option to display the Main fret board only or both are described below:
The bottom fret board is the actual Animation which you focus your eyes on to follow the lesson as it's drilling, it only displays "left hand fingerring".
The Upper fret board is an awesome feature for aiding players for in-depth study, players can switch displays between " Notes | Intervals | Fingering | Degree".
When drilling I disabled the Upper fret board display.
As my eyes and brain were foucusing at the Bottom fret board and I followed the drill note by note with tempo set at my comfortable speed.
I turn "On" the Upper fret board display when I am not drilling but while I study in-depth by switching betwwen displaing of "Notes - Fingering - Intervals - Degree".
You need to click on "Play" to play the lesson. This is applied to all lessons.
The rest of the remaining button links are speaking for themself as their names reflecting their fuctions.
I understand it is complicate and be confusing for you to learn how guitarelements works and how to navigate to your lesson out of thousand of the lessons in our database.
But after a short time, you will get a hang of it and it will become easier .
By then you will see the amazing and most oustanding guitar lessons from guitarelements.com has to offer.
